Prices

Creation Fee:

The creation fee is a one time $100 charge that covers the photographer’s time and talent to create beautiful, lasting art work that you will treasure forever. It includes the time spent selecting and preparing the images from your session that you will be shown as "proofs". The creation fee covers up to two hours of photo session time. Additional time is available at $50 per hour, pro-rated to the half hour. There is no extra cost for on-location photo sessions within 7 miles of the studio. Outside of that radius, travel charges of $1/mile apply (measured between studio and location). Prints are not included in the creation fee. Massachusetts state sales tax is additional.

A reduced creation fee is available if you just need some quick in-studio portraits. Please inquire about pricing.

À la carte Ordering

Rather than force clients into pre-designed packages we want you to choose just the print sizes and quantities that you want. We therefore only offer a la carte ordering but we have bonus levels that give you the benefits of package pricing. Each level gives you additional print credits, additional poses to select from, and even low resolution files. Your investment and bonus make up your print credit. You then decide what print sizes, how many of each size and which print finish you want each print to be. Then look up the price in the Print Prices Table below. The print credit can also be used for extra retouching, framing, gift items, and purchase of image files. You may exceed your print credit, of course, and can simply pay the additional cost at time of the print order. Massachusetts state sales tax is additional.

The free low resolution images are only available for images that were ordered as wall or table top sized prints. Copyright ownership remains with Michael Roman Photography, but permission to print and use the images will be given. Additional low resolution (appropriate for web display) images may be purchased at $50 each.

Print finish options:

Prints are made on Kodak Professional paper by a professional lab. All prints include a protective, transparent coating. Wall and Table Top prints in the Classic Finish are mounted on rigid board at no extra charge for your convenience in framing or to display without a frame. If you would prefer to have an unmounted print, please tell us at the time of ordering. We have two print finishes to choose from:

Canvas is your image printed on canvas texture and mounted on a rigid board and ready for framing. Only available for 8x10 and larger.

Classic is a standard matte finish print and comes mounted on a rigid board in Wall and Table Top sizes (unless you specify otherwise). You may request mounting at no extra cost for 8x10 and 5x7 sizes.

Discounts (calculated before state sales tax; discounts cannot be combined; if more than one discount may apply, the larger one will be applied):

50% off all wallet sets beyond the sixth set (of the same pose). ex: the first 24 wallets are $10 per set of 4 and each additional set of 4 wallets of the same pose are only $5 each.

6.25% Massachusetts State sales tax added to all print and product orders.

Black & White prints:

B&W and sepia tone prints available at no extra charge.

Prints reorder fee:

$10 handling fee for each print order after your initial one

Expedited order fee:

$20 to rush your prints to you - usually you will have your prints within five business days

Retouching:

Retouching services are also available upon request. Please inquire about prices. Minor retouches are no charge. Available services include: clearing up complexion, teeth whitening, wrinkle removal, slimming, skin smoothing, and more. If there is a techniques you might like, please don't hesitate to ask.

Gift Items:

We also offer gift items that you can have your photos printed on. These include mugs, tee shirts, tote bags, mouse pads, and many others. If interested, please inquire as to product availability and price.

Framing:

Custom framing is available. Please inquire for details.

If you already have a frame, we can prepare your print for hanging for a small fee.

Business Cards:

If you would like one or more of your photos on a business card, we can design the card for you and print them. 500 cards are $80 (full color, double sided) and $20 for each additional set of 500 in your order.

Delivery Times:

Please allow 3 to 4 weeks from the time of your order to the time of delivery of your prints. Framing services may take slightly longer.

Photos for On-line Model Portfolio:

Two hour photo session with up to five outfit changes (so six outfits including the one you arrive in); head and shoulders, 1/2, 3/4, and full length poses; various backgrounds; minimum of 60 images on CD, sized for web based display - $150
