The importance of your Senior Photos
Your Senior portraits will not only be shared with family and friends today but will be with you the rest of your life. Your classmates will see your photo whenever they pull out their yearbooks, and your children and their children will remember you as you are now from these photos. How do you want to be remembered? We think a professionally done portrait is the best way.

Pricing
Many studios don't make it easy to determine what their prices are until after your photo session. They want to ease you into the process before you are hit with sticker shock. At Michael Roman Photography we believe everyone has the right to know the cost up front and we are happy to share that information with you before you make your photographer selection. Our prices are less than many other studios, yet they still reflect the large investment we have in equipment and training to capture the very best expressions and to create the lasting art work that you will proudly display for many years to come.

Our creation fee covers the time to make your photos, create a proof gallery for you, and storage of your proofs. The standard creation fee is $100 which includes both studio and outdoor locations. It is up to two hours of unlimited outfit changes and/or props. For studio only sessions, we have a 30 minute session with up to three outfits for a $50 fee. Additional time may be added at $50 per hour, pro-rated to the half hour.

For prints we have a variety of package pricing available for your portraits. And we have lots of options for your photos, some of which include adding your name (in various fonts, sizes and colors or with your signature) or creating a collage of photos along with your name, year, school, etc. And we are open to your suggestions of what you would like. We are very flexible and want to keep this whole process fun. Senior Portraits are really all about you so if you want something that we don't appear to offer, then let us know and we'll do our best to get it for you.

Description of the photo session
Here's what you can expect at your Senior Photo session. You should plan to arrive in the first outfit to be photographed in. Studio sessions have a changing room where you can hang any extra outfits. We use a set of  studio strobes to get the light just right to make you look your best and we will guide you through a set of poses with varying expressions. You can, of course, suggest poses of your own. We have a varied selection of backgrounds that are chosen to reflect your style and to complement your outfits.

Outdoor sessions are similar except that we will use the ambient light and may complement it with one or two flash units. Backgrounds will be carefully chosen and will either be thrown out of focus to highlight you or kept in sharp focus if they are part of the story we are trying to tell. We will even photograph you in your favorite location as long as it's in the vicinity of Northborough (we will go to more distant locations for an additional fee).

Proof images
Within a few days of your photo session your proofs will be ready. You decide when is a convenient time to come to the studio to view them and discuss print options and packages. In certain circumstances, a private, online gallery of your images can be made available for your viewing and print selection, but it usually works out better when we can discuss the images face to face. Print orders must be placed within 30 days from the time you first view your proofs. If you need more time to make your print selections, we can accommodate most requests, but unfortunately we have limited storage capacity and must make room for other proof galleries so can't keep your proofs forever.

Booking your session
Session availability is limited so it is recommended that you book early. To check for available dates and times, please e-mail or call us at 774-641-6278.

Bring A Friend Program
Our portrait sessions are always fun and relaxed. But if you want even more fun, try our Bring A Friend Program. This is where two or more Seniors book their portrait sessions for the same time. You can even pose together in some images! Not only is it a lot more fun to be with friends, but getting breaks from the photography makes it easier to relax and get you looking your best. Better yet, each student in the Program gets a free 8x10 portrait with their purchase of any print package. If your friend wants to come along but not have their Senior Photos done at that time, not a problem! They are welcome to join you and even get in some of the photos with you. And unlike some other studios, there is no extra fee to bring a friend.

Our Guarantee
Satisfaction is guaranteed. If you are unhappy for any reason, we will photograph you again (at no extra cost) or reprint your photos in order to make you happy. And if you still aren't satisfied, we will refund all of your money. So book today. You have nothing to lose.

Refer-A-Friend Program
PLUS you can even earn cash by referring your friends to our studio! Every Senior who has their photos done with Michael Roman Photography will receive referral coupons to hand out to their friends. When the friend comes in for their Senior Session, they hand in the coupon (they can only turn in one), and you get $20 in cash and they get 8 free wallet sized photos from their session. So book early! The first Seniors photographed have the best opportunity to get referrals. The coupons expire at the end of November. Payments will be made as a lump sum at that time or you can come by the studio before that to collect referral credits you've earned up to that time.

Looking your best for your session
We recommend planning to have a mix of casual and dressy attire at your session in order to please everybody's tastes, i.e. yours and Mom's. The goal is for your face to be the center of attention, so choice of outfits is important.

Clothing
Mid to dark tones usually work best. Solids are better than bold patterns or stripes because they will not distract the viewer from your face. Bare arms and shoulders often pull the viewer's eye away from your face as well as sometimes making you look heavier than you are, so long sleeved outfits are recommended. Dark clothing also tends to be slimming. Your choice of shoes is important in any full length photos.

Hair
Haircuts should be done about a week before your session and it's not recommended to try new hair styles for your photos. You should also plan to bring a hair brush or comb to your session.

Skin imperfections
Don't worry! Our final prints are retouched to remove blemishes and other imperfections. There may be a small extra charge to retouch some cases of acne.

Tanning
You should avoid sunburns always but especially just before your portraits. Heavy tans may also not be the most pleasing in your photos, so we recommend going easy on tanning ahead of time. Also be aware of any tan lines that may show in the outfits you choose. We can remove tan lines for an extra charge, but it's better to select attire that will hide any lines in the first place.

Braces
Braces can be retouched out (for a charge), but some orthodontists will remove braces for your session, so you might want to check with yours.

Make-up
Make-up can affect the way you look in your portraits, but it is usually the case that a light application of make-up will photograph better than heavy use.
